Colorectal Adenocarcinoma is a cancer isolated in the colon and rectum. It is the third most commonly diagnosed cancer in the United States.This cancer does not occur suddenly as it takes years to develop and tends to be caused by changes to the lining of the colon or rectum . The p53 protein, that regulates the cell cycle to prevent mutations, is most commonly effected by colorectal adenocarcinoma by causing mismatch DNA repair sequence.
