SUNYergy: SUNY Libraries Working Together, is a quarterly publication of the Office of Library and Information Services (OLIS). In recent years, the OLIS has redoubled its efforts to implement new programs and services designed to be of value to the SUNY library community. It is hoped that these services assist the libraries and librarians in their larger mission of facilitating learning, research and scholarship. Existing OLIS publications had not, however, been designed to comprehensively describe new initiatives such as SUNYConnect or the SUNY Library Automation Migration (SLAM). SUNYergy (soon-er-gee) A publication of the Office of Library and Information Services "From the Greek 'sunergos' -- working together. The action of two or more [SUNY] substances, organs, organisms to achieve an effect of which each is individually incapable." (Derived from Webster's II New Riverside University Dictionary definition for "synergy")
