Start your exploration of the OER Success Framework (OSF) with the Overview of OER Success Framework Documents which guides you to all the other documents in this collection. The OSF is a process of assessing institutional readiness that allows you to explore the benefits your institution can experience from implementing open educational resources (OER). A successful OER implementation requires a strategy that includes addressing the following criteria: financial and human resource commitment from campus leadership; infrastructure and support; accessibility; sustainability; copyright and licensing. The provided rubric, process, and assessment tools will help you identify the resources you already have and what you may need to move forward with OER.

The OSF is the product of an OER task group charged by the State University of New York (SUNY) Faculty Advisory Council on Teaching and Technology (FACT2). The OER task group chairperson is Tony DeFranco, Coordinator of Learning Technology Services at Tompkins Cortland Community College.
