Abstract
Online Library Catalogs or OPACs are on the move again after years of little to no improvement. Once the subject of a large amount of research, catalogs had taken a back seat to other electronic information services provided through the Internet. It is now time for the library community to reexamine the OPAC with an eye toward making it a more useful tool for information discovery. This bibliography divides the literature on next generation catalogs into three types: visionary ideas, user behavior research and recent enhancements to the OPAC
