Abstract
from the introduction, ". . .This report gives the results of a seasonal benthic study of Moriches Bay. Sampling was carried out from May 1981, corresponding to the first major recruitment period after closure of the breach, to May 1982. The goals of this study were to: 1) assess the general state of the benthos in the bay, 2) document for the first time the seasonal changes in the benthic fauna, 3) compare the existing benthic fauna to prior studies, and 4) determine if any evidence existed indicating a breach related impact. . ."
