    Abstract
from abstract, "Increasing and competing demands upon lands and waters of our coastal zone necessitate development of a management plan stressing wise use of those resources. The first step in developing such a plan is the acquisition of a comprehensive and well-organized information base. An inventory of available data and knowledge concerning Stony Brook Harbor, an embayment on the north shore of Long Island, is presented as an example of such an information base. . ."
