    Abstract
from the preface, ". . .On 20-22 May 1976 a group of estuarine oceanographers from the United States, Canada, England, and South America met at the Belle Baruch Institute for Marine Biology and Coastal Research of the University of South Carolina to review and critically assess our knowledge of estuarine transport processes. . .The primary goal of the Workshop was to identify the important unresolved problems of physical transport processes in estuaries; problems that must be solved, not only for their scientific urgency, but also for effective management and rehabilitation of estuaries. . ."
