Abstract
In this issue of the Spruce Moose, we get a look at the recent activities that have taken place at the Adirondack Research Center and more. First, there as an overview of the recent research by Megan Skrip, who looked at ruffed grouse as well as forest ecology. Next, we take a look the successful soccer teams who spent a night at the AEC, while also doing some volunteer work. After their matches at Paul Smith College, the teams went to the AEC where they took part in garbage pickup as well as removing an invasive species known as the honeysuckle. Finally you can read about the history of Long Lake located in the Adirondacks. Once a planning site for a canal that would connect Long Lake of to the Hudson River to encourage more travel and commerce to the central Adirondacks.
