    Abstract
Purpose of the study was to investigate the short term effects of static and dynamic flexibility regimens on maximal bench press strength in active adults, using an estimated one repetition maximum (1RM) as the subject’s strength measure. Results using 24 male and 24 female subjects showed no significant differences, either for males or females, between the stretching protocols in terms of subsequent maximal bench press strength performance.
