dc.description.abstract My paintings are often interior scenes of my surroundings, from my studio and apartment to public spaces such as theaters and stores, which come from my memories and imaginings, focusing on color, light, and spatial relationships. I like to depict the joy of life, which actually is all around in everyday life. Each moment of life is unique and beautiful, but it’s sometimes hard to notice since it seems to be subtle and ordinary. The reason why I emphasize those moments of life is because they always strike me in an unexpected way and make me feel calm and fulfilled at the same time.
