Quest Proceedings 2008
The Scholarly and Creative Activity Committee (SCAC) and the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) are genuinely proud to present the first Quest Proceedings. For many years we have been thinking about publishing our students’ scholarly and creative work, which is presented annually at Quest. This year we were able to accomplish just that. We are overjoyed by the diversity of topics presented by our best students from a variety of departments all across our campus. In this issue you will find contributions from many departments and schools. The fine work presented here is an effort of our best students in Art, Accounting, Marketing & Management, Biological Sciences, Chemistry,Environmental Research, Computer Science, Earth Sciences & Geology, English & Creative Writing, Counseling & Psychological Services, Philosophy, and Women’s Studies. In addition, it includes the winner of the Helen Bohmer Daly Award and the winners of the Bill Bosch Best Poster Award. From the initial reactions to the online version of the publication, the Proceedings is already a great success as reflected in student and faculty reaction and requests for printed copies. We would like to dedicate this first issue to our hard working students, faculty, and faculty sponsors without whom this work could not have been possible. We gratefully acknowledge Linda Cook for her generous contribution and unconditional support to student SCAC. We remain committed to improving the proceedings and let there be no doubt that future issues will be bigger and better. Quest 2008 was held at SUNY Oswego on April 23, 2008.
