    Abstract
Parent involvement has been shown to be an important variable that positively influences children’s education. In spite of this, many parents do not appear to be getting involved in their children’s education. This lack of involvement may have a negative impact on student performance in and out of the classroom and ultimately effect their continuing educational development and success. Teachers need to play a major role in connecting classrooms, homes, and schools.
