The Department of Special Collections & University Archives, a division of the Stony Brook University Libraries, acts as the University's official, archival repository and is responsible for identifying, acquiring, maintaining and preserving records (regardless of media format) and materials of enduring legal, fiscal, administrative and historical value which have been created or received by the University or its designated representatives during the course of their appointed duties.
