S-TEN partners developed a knowledge base and application strategy in each of the areas of the Regents Reform Agenda. These areas include Common Core Learning Standards, teacher preparation and data-driven instruction to encourage simultaneous renewal across the P-20 partners.

Clinical Educator Preparation is a collection of practices for the implementation of clinically rich teacher and school building leader pre-service programs. The collection includes programs and techniques developed by S-TEN partners, as well as resources for building related partnerships, and inducting and mentoring new teacher and building leader candidates.

    Building upon an established relationship between a college and a local school district, this project formally designated a Partnership School, at which education students conduct field experience. In addition to providing these participating pre-service teachers with a clinically rich experience through closer supervision by and interaction with their faculty supervisor, the project enriched the experience of high school English students by providing appropriate technology in the classroom and integrating it with instruction.

    A Clinically Rich Residency Track for Teaching Assistants

    For the past four years SUNY Empire State College's clinically rich residency program has been providing a unique track for Teaching Assistants (TAs) to complete their MAT degree. The TA track addresses the national calls to increase clinical teacher training and recruit teachers from the communities where they live and work.
