    OER Sustainability poster presentation
(2022-06) Bond, Paul; Orzech, Mary Jo; Helregel, Nicole; Hoff, Lisa; Rigolino, Rachael
The SUNY OER Cohort Sustainability Program for Building Support, Advocacy and Resilience 26 SUNY institutions participated in an OER (open educational resources) sustainability program from 2019-2022. A combination of two year and four year schools took part in 1.5 to 2 year cohorts, sponsored by OER Services and the rpk GROUP. This poster describes some of the key program goals, process, outcomes and lessons learned. A ten-part framework provided the structure for a deeper dive into OER sustainability issues for campus OER leads/teams. The framework includes three major elements: infrastructure (guidelines, processes, professional development, platforms, people), resources (finances, efficiency), and culture (communication, metrics, vision). Discussions were reinforced with non-disposable tasks to produce OER guidelines, budget models, infographics, updated sustainability plans, and pitch decks that can be reused in ongoing ways. Pitch decks were developed to be shared with campus leadership and have produced a variety of results to date depending on specific campus needs. Participants reported increased confidence for developing OER programs for their institution. The cohort model for shared support and discussion was especially valuable during the pandemic that saw a lull in many campus activities and diminished OER funding for most. Additional topics included sharing campus experiences with inclusive access/affordable learning materials, as well as reporting, advocacy and more. Lessons learned and plans for future OER/affordable learning efforts by cohort participants will be shared.

SEHRA - Sunshine Electronic Health Record Academic Simulation V. 4.2
    (2021-03-12) Wright, Sandra
This is an updated version of SEHRA. Version 4_2 allows users to add new patients to create their own scenarios. SEHRA (Sunshine EHR Academic), is an educational simulation of an electronic health records system using Access 2019 as the development platform. Piloted in December of 2019, SEHRA was successfully implemented in January of 2020, and became an essential part of SUNY Broome’s ability to take health science classes and clinicals online in March of 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. SEHRA continues to grow and is currently used in on-campus laboratories, remote courses, and for professional practice experience.

SEHRA Data Entry for Hospital Scenarios
    (2021-03-12) Wright, Sandra
This video provides a demonstration of how faculty can add new patients and related data to create their own scenarios to the Hospital side of SEHRA - Sunshine Electronic Health Records Academic Simulation. It covers a discussion of file management for faculty to differentiate between a master version on standalone versions. It also covers the basics of adding a new patient, creating unique primary keys, adding hospital admission, medications, prescriptions, and other key information in order to create a full scenario.
