Abstract: This paper provides an overview of the National Institutes of Health public access policy. The NIH mandate requires researchers receiving NIH funding to submit their peer-reviewed, edited manuscripts to NIH's digital archive, PubMed Central. The content must be made freely available within 12 months of publication. Information about complying with the policy is provided. Details related to services available to SUNY authors are also included. (Paper presented at CIT 2008 conference - May 28-30, 2008)
